Barker Frustrated

Despite stories in the summer that a new contract offer would be forthcoming, terrace hero Richie Barker has today revelead to the Nottingham Evening Post that he is yet to receive an offer to his current deal "I have spoken to the chairman and told him I would like a new contract and he said there would be one," said Barker.

"But I have not received one yet and neither has my agent, so I'm not sure what is happening."

Stags boss Peter Shirtliff had said in early May that a new deal was being looked at "An extension to Richie Barker's contract has been spoken about,"

"He is happy, but he has intimated to me and the chairman he wants a new deal and it is something we are looking at."

Despite this, nothing has been offered yet to the Stags captain.
