Speaking to the Mansfield CHAD towards the end of last week, Dearden confirmed "I don't see there will be any problems."
"I have spoken to the people upstairs. Nothing has been finally agreed but we did agree in principle.
"I said I wanted to stay and they said they wanted me to stop here.
"We do need to discuss money and the like - though that's not the be and end all.
"I know this football club inside out and I know the players a lot better now.
"I came here to keep this club in the League and achieved that. And I said from day one that if I enjoyed it I would consider staying next season.
"I have started talking to players about next season and I am also sorting our pre-season.
"I am looking forward to a holiday. But there won't be much time for breaks this summer.
"I have already put irons in the fire for new players and we will have to see what develops."
