Buxton out of Friendly

Stags defender Jake Buxton is out of the Stags pre-season game with Derby at Field Mill tonight, and Carl Muggleton is set to start in goal, with Jason White a doubt. Stags boss Peter Shirtliff told the Nottingham Evening Post "Buxton is not training because his foot is still sore and it has stemmed from the injury that came before. We're not sure how long he's going to be out.

"Jason White will be training this week but I'm not sure if he'll figure on Wednesday. If not, he should be fit for Saturday against Forest.

"It has been hot, but the game against Derby is in the evening so it won't be so bad.

"I don't think the players will play the full 90 minutes in their first proper game against League opposition. I'm not sure what side they will be putting out but I'm sure it will be a decent test for us."

Danny Reet and Giles Coke have both missed some part of the stags training schedule since the players returned back in early July, but both are now back in training and should feature against Derby.
