Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post, Buxton said "We dominated the game against Macclesfield and had probably 75 per cent of the play, but in a way we only have ourselves to blame for not winning.

"I think we have to push forward more when we are on top and make our advantage count by killing teams off.

"It seems to me that when we score we are sometimes enjoying the moment and the cheers from the crowd rather than going at them again.

"We take a bit of a breather and seem to be happy with it at 1-0. That it is always dangerous because whenever it is only one goal the opposition always has a chance to get back in it.

"You only have to make one mistake at the back then and you can be punished and that is just what happened."

"When you are struggling down near the bottom like we are, you are going to have dips in form.

"We were gutted in the dressing room that we didn't get the win but the performance was a lot better - the result just didn't go our way."

"We are not far from getting it right. I think if we get a draw at Wycombe we have done well but we are capable of winning any match at home."
