"Dan's back is still sore and he has not trained today but it is slightly better than it was," Dearden told the Nottingham Evening Post on Tuesday.
"We could do with him coming back because with plenty of the other lads out who would be involved against Stockport, we haven't go too many options.
"But if he is not fit enough to train later in the week, then obviously he won't play. We will just have to wait and see.
