"I know we had to make a lot of changes again but I was disappointed with how we started the first half," Boss Billy Dearden told the Mansfield CHAD after the game.
"At least we had a go in the second half, but we shouldn't have had to wait until half-time for that.
"In the end we might have got something out of it and we did have a few half chances.
"All in all we got what we deserved against a fairly good team. I thought we probably showed them too much respect in the first half and we didn't do ourselves any favours
"I was very disappointed in their goal as it was shabby defending. If we had defended that at least we would have got a 0-0.
"After losing the last two home games I thought some of them went into their shells a bit today.
"It was a bit too much for some of the young lads today. You can't expect players to be able to fill in like they are having to do now with five or six senior players missing, most of them long term."
