Despite the continued problems regarding the field mill capacity, in the wake of the ticketing fiasco for the local derby with Chesterfield. Stags chairman James Derry is confident that his bid, as he leads a consortium of local businessmen, will soon be in charge at Field Mill.
He told the Mansfield CHAD on Friday, that following talks with Keith Haslam "We have ironed out one or two issues and moved forward.
"We will talk again next week. I know this seems to be dragging on, but things like this take time.
"I remain hopeful that a deal can be done very soon."
Despite saying that any cut in the Field Mill restrictions would hamper any move for the club, Derry insisted that he was still very much interested in buying the football club.
