Wycombe Wanderers manager John Gorman is spending time away from the club to be with his ill wife.
Gorman was absent from Saturday's draw with Mansfield and does not expect to be in the dug-out for the games against Notts County and Boston.
He said in a statement: "My wife Myra has been seriously ill and I have been with her at the hospital.
"I am pleased to say she has responded well to treatment and I shall be remaining with her all week."
Gorman released the statement to quell any rumours regarding his absence from Saturday's match.
"Naturally I realise there would be speculation as to my whereabouts on Saturday," he added.
"And so I think it's right to let fans know they will not see me at Notts County on Tuesday evening, and it is very unlikely I shall be at Boston on Saturday."
Assistant manager Steve Brown and coaches Keith Ryan and Jim Barron have taken temporary charge of first-team affairs as Wycombe look to stay in the promotion frame.
