After making a very impressive start to his loan period at the Stags, Martin Gritton is confident about the clubs chances of avoiding a drop out of the footbal league. He told the Mansfield CHAD on Thursday "The lads certainly have belief and ability. They just need application and consistency.
"Once they find that we can climb the table pretty quick, but it means a lot of hard work.
"It was nice to score on my debut. I needed games to get fully fit and I am already feeling a lot better after two matches.
Looking beyond his loan period, Gritton went on "Hopefully I will do enough to impress the management and maybe something more permanent will be offered. But that's down the line yet.
"First I need to bed myself in as the tempo of first team football is completely different to training and reserve games."
