Speaking to the official Mansfield Town website on Friday afternoon, loan signing Martin Gritton looked forward to his spell at Field Mill "It was all about getting first team football really I was struggling for a place at Lincoln because places were few and far between so when the opportunity came for me to come here I jumped at it. Billy was good enough to offer me a chance to join the club with a view to play games and I am just looking forward to getting started.
"It all came about quite quickly really with most of the deal being sorted out yesterday (Thursday). I had played in a reserve game for Lincoln on the Wednesday evening and Billy contacted me and asked if I would like to join Mansfield and here I am."
"I have played against Mansfield a few times in the past and found them to be well supported and talented teams. In fact when I was I Torquay I can remember some great games against them with Mansfield being one of the better footballing sides in our division. It is something that I am looking forward to becoming involved with."
Gritton was also at pains to point out that he dosn't always play up front as well, and has featured on the left wing, but at six foot 2, it is proabably up front where he can make his presence known.
