Haslam Hits Back at Planned Protest

A planned prostest by Team Mansfield, against the current Stags Chairman, which is due to take place prior to the Macclesfield game on Saturday 4th February, prompted this response from Keith Haslam (speaking in this weeks Mansfield Chad)

"I think the general supporters are beginning to tire with the way TEAM Mansfield are conducting themselves regarding this matter, certainly the ones I speak to and who have written letters to the club re-affirming that they do not know who or what TEAM Mansfield are about.
"Approximately 10 days ago their spokesperson, Chris Vasper, appeared on Mansfield radio publicly stating that there would be an offer on my table within a week.
"Yet I still haven't received an offer of any kind from Team Mansfield, which doesn't surprise me really as this is the way that they have chosen to conduct things from the outset."

The protest starts at 12 noon at the Civic Centre, with a planned peaceful march up to the ground afterwards. Speaking will be David Conn, Sports Writer of the Year and 'Guardian' columnist, whose recent article brought the chairmans loans, to the attention of the nation.

TEAM Mansfield spokesman Chris Vasper (also speaking in this weeks Mansfield CHAD) said: "An overwhelming number of Stags fans have expressed their desire to stage a formal protest to convince the current regime at Field Mill that the ongoing protests are not the actions of a vocal minority.
"TM is delighted to offer everyone the opportunity to take part. The theme of the day will be Giving Our Club its Heart Back with the aim of setting out a vision for our club."
