When pressed this week about the proposed boycotting of games, urged by Team Mansfield as the next step in the campaign against Keith Haslam, the man at the top respnded to the Nottingham Evening Post "That would hardly help Billy Dearden and the players at this point in the season. The important thing is the football team, and staying away would not be the solution."
Haslam also stated that if he did walk away and was forced out as the pressure on him increases, the there is a real possibilty that the club could fold, he went on ""I have said before that I am willing to sell, but if there are no bids on the table and if no-ones comes forward, there are only two options," said Haslam.
"I can either continue as the club's owner or the only other thing that can be done if I walk away is to close the club down.
"Whether that happens depends on various things, but it is a possibility."
Recent statements by both the Stags Supporters Association and Team Mansfield have increased the growing rift between the club and it's supporters, and it looks like it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
