There are certain reports coming out that a steward was arrested on Saturday, in the win over Walsall for using un-neccasary force to eject a fan during the game.
The Mansfield CHAD this week is reporting 'It is understood that a 42-year-old Stapleford man working as a steward on Saturday was arrested for an alleged assault after ejecting another fan in a separate incident.'
Meanwhile Dan Westwell, the photographer at the centre of the 'throwing' out storm from the same game, has expressed his surprise over the incident which saw him escorted from Field Mill and later arrested "I was just doing my job, as I do every week, following Mansfield Town all over the country when I was approached by several stewards who told me to leave the ground immediately," he has told the Mansfield CHAD this week.
"When I asked what had happened I was told if I didn't leave they would physically drag me out.
"I was extremely concerned for my equipment and also my own safety.
"I was given no reason for my ejection from the stadium and my safety was threatened by the very people employed to protect exactly that."
Dan is due to appear before magistrates on Friday.
