Speaking to the media after losing 3-2 to the Stags, Ince said "I've been to three or four games before I took the job and the teams I've seen are nothing better than what we've got here. Mansfield got all the points, but they weren't a better side than us."
"I thought it was a very good performance and a very good game. The reaction from the lads was A1. If we could just have got the result, it would have made all the difference.
"The penalty was one that you get given against you when you're bottom of the table. That's the way it is at the bottom though and we have to fight our way out of it and not feel sorry for ourselves.
"We need to get some belief in this side and I think the fans appreciated the players fighting for their cause. I honestly think when we get that first win then you'll see a different side."
