Is Daly the Man ?

There are some reports being touted about that Jon Daly could well be high on the list of possible replacements for Richie Barker. Daly, currently at Baker's new club Hartlepool may find that the former Stags favourite will be ahead of him in the pecking order, and will have to leave to play regular first team football.

It is not known if any deal involving Daly would be part of the Barker transfer itself, but manager Billy Dearden would not confirm or deny any concrete link for Daly, when pressed in Friday's Nottingham Evening Post "Daly was mentioned before I came here and I have watched him when he was a Stockport player.

"There are a few players we are interested in." the Stags boss said.

Daly has scored 30 goals in 122 apearances during his career at Hartlepool, Bury, Grimsby and Stockport.
