Following an assesment at the Friendly with Derby, the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) have announced that the capacity at Field Mill can rise, but not to the near 10,000 the ground can hold.
The attendance limit has been raised only to 6,553, and will not be reviewed again now until the 1st home game of the season, against Lincoln City.
Stags chairman James Derry told the Mansfield CHAD after the game with Derby "I am pleased that the safety people accept there were no problems today and are pleased with our new regime.
"But I am disappointed that we are not yet back upto the full capacity, as they have said we did nothing wrong today."
The decision in the first place to cut capacity, was taken after ugly scenes on the pitch, following a pitch invasion at the last home game of last season.
