Mansfield boss Peter Shirtliff is under no illusions about the lack of transfer-market money at his disposal.
With the Stags currently lying fourth from bottom in League Two and just one point above the relegation zone, the Field Mill chief is keen to strengthen his squad.
But money is tight at Mansfield and Shirtliff is resigned to wheeling and dealing or relying on loan signings.
He said: "I've been looking at players but I'm also aware of budgets.
"I know there are no fortunes to spend.
"But I may be able to bring in some loan signings who will stand us in good stead for the rest of the season."
