Speaking in the Nottingham Evening Post, Peter Shirtliff said : "Overall I was happy with a point. It was a decent point and definitely one gained.
"We didn't play that badly. And it was a hard surface. But we just didn't do enough in possession of the ball to seriously hurt the opposition.
"We did have some good situations against Peterborough but didn't really capitalise. Our final shots or crosses were just not good enough and we should have done better in certain situations.
"But I thought we defended well and all the back four played well.
"Peterborough did force a lot of corners, but you will do if you play the way they do.
"The silly thing is we could have won it at the end if Adam Birchall's shot had gone in."
I have given them today off (Monday) to help try to freshen them up," he said.
"We have a lot of coughs and splutters at the moment which you get at this time of year and the games are about to come thick and fast."

Mark Wright "We really should have been leading at half-time and that's not being disrespectful,"
"I thought we more than deserved a point and I was a bit disappointed we didn't go away with all three.
"I thought Alex John-Baptiste was a worthy man-of-the-match for them, as he made some very important tackles.
"It's the same old story for us, though. How did the ball not go into the net off the inside of the post? Once again it's so near for us. We just needed that bit of luck or flash of brilliance."
"Mansfield probably only had one real chance at the death when they could have won it which I think would have been unfair.
"We still have important players missing and there were a lot of good performances out there.
"We were comfortable and I didn't feel we would concede. I always thought we would go on and win it."
