Mansfield V Exeter at One Call Stadium - Match Preview

Andrew added to Stags party

Calvin Andrew will be added to the Mansfield squad as the Stags get their home campaign under way against Rochdale at the One Call Stadium.

Andrew signed for the Football League newcomers on Thursday having spent a large part of the summer on trial with Paul Cox's side following his release by Port Vale at the end of last season, and the 26-year-old striker could make his debut at the weekend.

The likes of Ritchie Sutton, Matt Rhead, Lee Stevenson, Jake Speight, Ross Dyer, Chris Clements and Colin Daniel are options for Cox should he wish to make changes following the 2-0 defeat at Tranmere in the Capital One Cup in midweek.

Keiran Murtagh continues to nurse a knee injury and the midfielder is likely to be the only absentee.

Exeter will be without Matt Oakley when they make the trip.

The former Leicester and Southampton midfielder, sidelined for the next two weeks, is the club's only injury absentee as they prepare to face the Stags for the first time since 2002.

Manager Paul Tisdale has a number of selection quandaries ahead of the trip with Arron Davies, Sam Parkin and John O'Flynn all pushing for starts having been on the bench in the 2-0 loss to QPR in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.

The Football League's longest-serving manager was not happy with the energy his side showed against Harry Redknapp's men with Liam Sercombe and Artur Krysiak the only players to receive any post-match praise from their manager.
