Riley missing for Mansfield
Mansfield will be without the suspended Martin Riley when Northampton visit.
Riley was shown a straight red card in the win at York last weekend after tangling with home striker Richard Cresswell, who was also sent off for his part in the incident, and the centre-back begins a three-match ban on Saturday. However, striker Matt Rhead is available again after serving his suspension against the Minstermen.
Chris Clements suffered knee ligament damage at Bootham Crescent and the midfielder faces a lengthy absence.
Winger Lindon Meikle is nursing a knock to his hip flexor and he is a doubt as the Stags look to extend their unbeaten run in Sky Bet League Two to seven matches in what will be Paul Cox's 100th game as manager.
Northampton, looking for only their second win of the season, will be without Gary Deegan through suspension.
The midfielder serves a one-match ban having received his fifth booking of the campaign in last weekend's 2-1 home defeat to Exeter - a seventh loss for the Cobblers from their opening nine games in all competitions. Winger Ishmel Demontagnac also serves the final game of his three-match suspension.
New signing Mathias Kouo-Doumbe could make his debut for the club having penned a deal until the end of the season on Thursday.
Midfielder Ian Morris, who made the bench last Saturday, is fully fit after a groin injury but long-term absentees Lewis Hornby (back), Kelvin Langmead (knee) and Alex Nicholls (broken leg) remain sidelined.
