Mansfield V Slough at One Call Stadium - Match Preview

Stags suffer from Speight suspension

Mansfield striker Jake Speight will miss the FA Cup clash against Slough through suspension.

Speight picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the defeat to Dartford last time out and will serve a one-match ban.

Ben Hutchinson or Lindon Meikle are possible attacking options to replace the absent Speight for manager Paul Cox

On-loan goalkeeper Liam Mitchell has not been given permission to play in this match so Shane Redmond is likely to return between the sticks with the Stags other keeper, Alan Marriott, still nursing a shoulder injury.

Defender Ritchie Sutton may be recalled to the side after coming off the bench in the game against the Darts. He could replace fellow defender Ryan Tafazolli, who is struggling with a hamstring injury.

Slough manager Steve Bateman will be without cup-tied midfielder Jake Parsons.

Parsons joined Slough from Windsor in September, having already represented his former employers in the competition and will therefore miss his new club's first appearance in the first round since 2004.

Otherwise Bateman has a fully-fit squad to pick from ahead of the money-spinning clash.

The Rebels came from behind to defeat Gosport Borough 2-1 in their fourth qualifying round replay, gaining revenge for their heavy defeat to the side in the FA Trophy.

Bateman's men will be hoping to pull off a shock and make further progress in the competition on Saturday.
