Despite the 4-1 scorline at Oldham in the Carling Cup, Martin firmly beleives that the number of chances the Stags created, can only be a good sign "I thought we played well in spells but they were able to put the ball in the back of the net better than us," he told the Nottingham Evening Post on Thursday.

"We have created chances against a League One side, which can only be a good thing.

"When we start putting those away, then we are going to start picking up results."
