After being in doubt for most of the previousday, the Stags clash with Chester was finally called off due to a frozen pitch.
The decision was taken at just before mid day when local referee Russell Booth inspected the pitch.
It means that Paul Holland must wait to begin his caretaker role at the club.
He told the Nottingham Evening Post after the decision It was definitely the right decision to call of the Chester game. I went out there on the pitch with the referee and there is no way it could have been played,
"I'm absolutely gutted because we have built ourselves up all week and we have been looking forward to it."
