Stags Boss Peter Shirtliff, speaking on the Official Mansfield Town website this morning said "I have got one or two things in mind that I want to change around a bit but by and large I think the squad is in reasonable shape. As well as the changes on the pitch there will be a couple behind the scenes as well. I am looking to appoint a Youth team coach and maybe talking to people about a programme of fitness and then there is the ongoing scenario with training. I will be looking for an improved training area and better arrangement.
"We are looking at taking on ten or eleven boys this Summer aged 16 years so they near the proper supervision which looks hopeful for the future of the club but my immediate priority is improving the first team squad to compete further up the league next season.
"I have spoken to the Chairman about certain things and we will continue to have talks about certain players and Salaries etc and I think we are in the same sort of 'ball park' but the talks are ongoing and we will have to wait and see what happens."
