STAGS RAID MAN CITY FOR PROMISING LEFT-BACK
Stags boss Peter Shirtliff has raided Manchester City's reserves again to take left-back Paul Collins on trial.
Collins, 20, will link up with the Stags squad when they return to pre-season training at the end of June. Shirtliff hopes the youngster will make the same kind of impact that midfielder Jonathan D'Laryea has since coming to Field Mill.
"I first saw Paul play in the same team as Jonathan and I have had my eye on him ever since," he said. "I liked the look of him then and now I want to have a closer look at him."
The Stags boss has not stopped negotiating since the season ended, and his work has so far yielded defender Johnny Mullins from Reading. He hopes for definite answers from several more players soon
