Stags boss Peter Shirtliff has had a look at bringing in a new face to the Suad ahead of the transfer deadline at Midnight on Thursday, but has today told the Mansfield CHAD website "There were a couple of possibilities but nothing permanent,"
"In the end I decided just to wait a bit. If I want to bring someone in on loan then I can do that again after next Thursday.
"But I don't think there is a lot wrong with the squad I have got and we are only five League games into the season. So there is no panic.
"I don't see a reason to change things around too much at the moment
The Stags boss is also sweating on the fitness of defender Jon Olav Hjelde, who featured in a reserves run out this week, however his groin injury appeared to falre up again, with the Stags boss saying "We brought him off as a precaution and we will just have to see if it settles down in time for Friday,"
"It is a blow as he was playing quite well at the time."
