Speaking to the Mansfield CHAD website, Brown said "After being out with my hamstring and then come back and be struggling with this hernia, it's been a stop-start season," "Me and Richie Barker were working so well together, it's been really frustrating having to watch from the sidelines.
"I am taking anti-inflammatories before and after games but it is really sore after games so I can't really train in the week.
"I just want to play. But I am booked in for an operation on 2nd March to get it done and I hope I can be back as soon as possible."
