After declining the offer of a reduced contract, Pilkington returns to Field Mill on Monday with his new side Notts County top of the table.
"It will be a big game for me and I’m going to really enjoy it. The hope is we can go there and put in a big performance and come away with three points. I had five good years there so hopefully I will get a good reception. But I just want to be on the winning side.”
Meanwhile ex striker Andy White is also making a return. “It will be a good crowd and a good atmosphere and Notts have not beaten Mansfield for quite a while, so I want to be on a Notts County winning side. I scored in the Worthington Cup for Mansfield against Notts and also when we beat County 3-2 – Notts did not turn up that day. I know Notts fans are really, really keen to beat Mansfield and it is a big thing for everyone here to put one over them. When they played at Mansfield last year Notts did not play well so a lot of players want to put that right. Not just the fans, but the players want it badly as well to prove a point.”
