Ronaldo, who stood mainly alone in his protest against Carlton Palmer stood firm this week and hit back at those who said they would join his protest, yet did nothing.
"Well i tried my best, i went on the radio friday night and made a half decent account of myself to arrange a protest. Saturday morning arrives and i start cutting up posters for the occasion with a grin on my face and looking forward to it all.
The weather was awful but i knew this time that all stags fans would stick together, little did i know at the time it would turn out to be a disaster. I got to the ground at 1ish to see just program sellers there but was i ok because i knew people would be waiting for the rain to stop so i went in the ssa bar for a drink. I came out the bar about 1-45 and went outside, i was stood on my own till 2-15 ish when a policeman came up to me and then katie trinder said to me whats happened to the protest? i just did not know what to say. Time was getting nearer to kick off so i decided to give it up, this lad paul came up to me and asked what was wrong and i just blurted out into tears, Steve Hartshorn put his arm round me i was devastated.
I then went for another pint in the bar and walked to the vic leaving a few posters in the puddle, "PALMER OUT" ones. I got to the vic and cried again in the toilets. This time mike and bez looked after me and they said you know who ya friends are now dont ya.
As far as mansfield town goes now i feel an embarresment to the club the fans and more importantly to myself.
AND I REALLY HOPE YOU STAGS FANS ARE PROUD OF YOURSELVES"
