After some impressive performances this season, despite the Stags young side struggling at the start of the campaign under Carlton Palmer, Adam Rundle wants to extend his stay beyond his current deal which is up during the summer.
He can see a lot of potential now that the squad has pushed up the table and results have improved under Peter Shirtliff.
Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post before the trip to Bristol Rovers, Adam said "It's up to the manager who should stay and who should go. I think he's seen enough of all the players to decide,"
"My view is that the squad we have at the moment is good enough to do really well next year.
"I would love to stay and be part of that, but I know it is not entirely in my hands."I don't think it will be a case of proving yourself to the manager over the final games, because he will already have his views.
"But I still think the players will be out to impress and do their best, because we still have tomake sure of safety and there is next year to think of as well."
