The Stags have revealed that so far this season they have sold 1,458 season tickets.
The figure is a big jump on last seasons, and is now close to the record held in the promotion season of 2001-2002.
"I think the interest in season tickets is a reflection of people's optimism for this Mansfield squad and they can see the potential that they have," spokesman Rob Ferguson told the Nottingham Evening Post.
"People have also been excited by some of the signings Peter Shirtliff has made with the likes of Matt Hamshaw, Johnny Mullins, Michael Boulding and Carl Muggleton.
"At the moment we are on course for our best season ticket sales figure in five years of football with the half-season tickets still to come at Christmas."
