Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post, after the 2-1 defeat to Barnet, Shirtliff said "I need to sign players who stand up to be counted because I don't think I have the players to stand up.
"I have got some players in mind and there needs to be changes. It needs shaking up. The game was there for the taking.
