Shirtliff setback

Stags boss Peter Shirtliff has today revealed that one of his summer targets has turned him down, speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post, the Stags boss said "Of the two I've had in the frame, one has turned us down. The other we have an outside chance of signing, but I'm not that hopeful. Money is an issue.

"But there are others elsewhere who we are also pursuing. I still think there will be one or two new additions."

Shirtliff had revealed a couple of weeks ago, that he was closing in on two players, but has been forced to admit defeat in his pursuit of one of them.
