Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post after the win over Grimsby, Shirtliff was delighted for Chris Beardsley, and the two goals that he scored to send the Stags into the Northern Area Quarter Finals of the Jonstone's Paint Trophy "I'm happy for Chris because he works hard in training, he's an enthusiastic boy and a great member of our squad.
