Frendo back for minnows
John Frendo returns from suspension for St Albans City as they prepare to host Mansfield in the FA Cup.
Frendo missed the FA Trophy win over Billericay Town on Tuesday night and he will be looking to renew his superb strike partnership with Mark Nwokeji against the Stags. The two have scored 26 goals between them in all competitions so far this campaign.
Fellow striker Greg Ngoyi, player of the year for City last season, will miss the first-round tie through suspension as he serves the second game of a three-match ban.
Saints are unbeaten in 11 matches and are yet to lose in a cup competition this season.
Mansfield are beset by injury and suspension problems.
On-loan Stoke striker James Alabi was sent off on his debut against Southend last weekend and will begin a three-match ban. Lee Beevers must also miss the first-round tie after he too received a red card during the 3-0 defeat at Roots Hall.
Striker Ben Hutchinson is expected to be out for around a month with a groin tear sustained against the Shrimpers and he joins defenders John Dempster (suspended), Martin Riley (Achilles) and Ryan Tafazolli and midfielder Chris Clements (knee) on the sidelines.
Tafazolli might train at the end of this week while Clements and Riley are expected to resume training next week.
