Supporters Group Slam Ban Decision

Mansfield Town's decision to 'ban' Dan Westwell for alledgely displaying a 'Haslam Out' picture on his laptop, whilst taking photo's pitch side in the 2-1 win over Walsall, to which he was later arrested, has angered the Stags Supporters Assocation.

A statement on the SSA Website states "SSA are disgusted and disturbed by the treatment that photographer Dan Westwell received by Mansfield Town Football Club at the Walsall and Chester games.

SSA are taking this up with Chairman James Derry on Tuesday as a major issue. "

Mansfield Town have sent a letter to Dan's home address stating that 'Pending ongoing investigations into the alleged offence on Saturday 20th January 2007, we withdraw our invitation of access to the Field Mill Ground with immediate effect and until further notice.'

Dan's court appearance on February 9th is sure to grab local attention and it remains to be seen what the outcome will be.
