Speaking in today's Nottingham Evening Post, Keith Haslam said the club will look at a tribute to the goal keeper coach, who had only recently joined the Stags "It will be done in consultation with his family and we will be able to do something fitting."
"The only similar situation we have had like this was at the Southend game."
Speaking about Peter's appointment at the club, the Stags chairman went on to say "Peter (Shirtliff) asked me if he could come in and I think I met him for the first time about ten days ago.
"I arrived at the ground to find out what had happened and the players were really shocked.
"I think not playing the game was the only course of action we could have taken.
"Both Kevin and Jason tried to revive him and were very shocked."
