White looks for new Deal

"I would love to earn a long-term contract here and the better I play between now and the end of the season the more likely I am to get it," White told the Nottingham Evening Post on Friday.

"Nothing has been said at the moment but that's what I am aiming for, because my current deal is up this summer.

"It does give you an extra incentive to play well because if you don't perform then you could be out of the club and, at this level, that could mean out of the league.

"A lot of the lads are in the same position. The pressure is on to produce the goods if we want to stay.

"If I can get a new contract then hopefully I can use it as a stepping stone to better things because I'm ambitious like anyone else.

"I set myself little targets, but I don't think too far into the future.

"The first one for me is just to keep playing between now and the end of the season. I want to be in goal on the last day against Bury."
