"I can either continue as the club's owner or the only other thing that can be done if I walk away is to close the club down." was the quote from Keith Haslam this week in the wake of the ongoing pressure supplied by supporters urging him to sell up and leave Field Mill.

However some supporters have sugested that this may just be a way of trying to divert attention from the ongoing protests against him.

The most typical view on the various Stags Forums seems to be "Why would he wind down a business that he could sell for millions?"

Mr Haslam it would appear does have some support out there, a recent corrospondance to StagsMAD HQ said "I question Team Mansfield and their objectives, is it to drive Mansfield Town out of the football league or do they just want to hound KH out of business. Neither is in the interests of true Stags fans. I do remember Mansfield being in real trouble when up for sale the last time and the only person to come forward was KH" - Gerry
