Most prominent of the decision to send youngsters out on loan is Mickey Boulding's brother Rory, who finds himself getting valuable experience at Ilkeston. Rory made a good impression during pre-season and will be keen to get some games under his belt.
Speaking to the official Mansfield Town Website today, assistant boss Paul Holland said "Ilkeston have kindly agreed to take Rory on a one month loan period to enable him to get some experience in Men's football and we will be looking to get the likes of Danny Sleath, Austin McIntosh and Chris Wood, when he is fit and possibly others, out to play Men's football so when the chance comes they will be ready to take their chance in the first team."
