New Mansfield boss Keith Curle remained unbeaten at home and Wycombe extended their unbeaten run to three games in this relegation scrap.
But Lawrie Sanchez's men were left hanging on for point as they somehow survived the Stag's second-half barrage.
In the 69th minute the unmarked Craig Disley headed Wayne Corden's free-kick wide at the far post and then Andy White was denied inside the six-yard area by Andy Thomson's superb tackle.
Keeper Frank Talia dived full length to keep out substitute Lee Williamson's 20-yard thunderbolt, and then in the dying minutes Iyseden Christie and Tom Curtis both crashed shots into the side netting.
In a more even first half Wycombe should have taken a fourth-minute lead when Stuart Roberts onto Steve Brown's brilliant pass, only to be blocked by keeper Kevin Pilkington's brave dive.
At the other end Liam Lawrence lob was tipped over by Talia and from the resulting corner Christie's header flashed inches wide.
Roberts' was again denied by a fine point-blank save by Pilkington as Wanderers carved out the better chances on the break.
On the half hour Lawrence volleyed Corden's cross over from close range after a mazy run by the wing man and Corden's powerful shot from an acute angle was beaten away by the busy Talia, as Mansfield stepped up the pressure.
The keeper was beaten in the 34th minute but Lawrence's shot rebounded to safety off the inside of the post.
And in first-half injury-time Lawrence was foiled yet again by the keeper, who this time dived full length and held a 20-yard shot.
