Mansfield 2-3 Accrington Stanley- Match Report

Stanley upset StagsAccrington roared straight back into good form with a 3-2 away win at Mansfield.Stanley had lost for the first time in eight games last time out but deserved the three points here, sealed by two goals in 13 second half minutes.Mansfield, whose home results all season have been poor, were caught cold by a third-minute goal in a first half in which Stanley could have been out of sight in the first half-hour.Piero Mingoia was there first to turn home Josh Windass' left-wing cross to open the scoring. The visitors then ran the show and it took three saves from big Brian Jensen to deny Windass and, twice, Sean McConville, the second a superb reflex stop from six yards.Mansfield survived and levelled with their first shot of the game on 27 minutes

Matt Green capitalised on Tom Davies' failure to cut out a through ball and got into the box before stroking the ball home off the inside of the far post.Stags ended the half strongly with Green just too high for a second.Jack Thomas was too high with a hurried 20-yard shot over an empty net with Mooney out of position on 55 minutes. But Accrington were back in front on 72 minutes as a blocked shot looped up invitingly for Kee to dispatch a superb volley past Jensen from 14 yards. It was 3-1 on 84 minutes as Terry Gornell smashed the ball home at the far post after Jensen had turned his first finish onto the post from Adam Buxton's long cross from the left. But on 88 minutes Stags made a fight of it as Chris Clements buried a superb 25 yard free-kick from a central position into the top-right corner.Jensen denied Gornell a second in a one-on-one in stoppage time
